Not sure it cleans the fruits and veggies but something happens when it is used.
Nifty device, very easy to use, online sources indicate it is safe and effective
This couldn’t be simpler to use. To charge, plug in the base to a USB port with the enclosed cord. Set the cleaner device in the base, leaving it until the light stops flashing. To use, place your fruit or veggies into a sink or other container, add water, and place the device at the bottom. Stir occasionally. There is a slight odor at times but nothing offensive to my sensitive nose. When you hear three beeps and the light goes off, it is done. Wait 5 or 10 minutes for the process to complete and remove the food and the device, letting it drain before storage. We are not scientists but reading online, it does appear the process is not harmful and actually does remove pathogens and pesticides. Look for government studies rather than manufacturer’s articles.

Great way to clean vegetables and fruit
This technology is much better than just a rinse and expect to rid food of impurities on the surface. The wax on apples seems to disappear. There is a little charging base that looks like a small saucer that the unit sits on that is a separate charger base. This is reusable without the need to recharge for quite some time. Place your food in water, submerse it on the bottom and turn on the unit. One can see it working with little bubbles. Allow it to wash and then let the food sit for another approximately 10 minutes then rinse. It is worth it! Fruits and veggies taste great and I feel better about less containments. This is nice on the counter with white and the rose gold band. I recommend giving this a try!
