Completely changed VR for me
TL;DR: Must buy item making the quest 2 amazing with the screen never fogging now. Faceplate has a weak connection but stays on solid once headset is on your face.After using this for a few days I have to say it completely changed the quality of VR for me. In the past no matter what, the screen would start fogging up after 10 minutes or so even if I wasn’t playing an active game like beat saber. I’ve gone on several hour plus sessions since getting this and it hasn’t once fogged on me even a little. My quest went from unusable to amazing because of this fan.Fan noise is not an issue at all, it doesn’t have a high pitch whine like most small fans and you can’t even hear it at all once you start playing something. The face plate feels much better than the one included with the quest and is a bit thicker too. The nose cover is removable if it bothers you like it did me.My only complaint is both the face plate and fan are not the strongest at staying on the quest. When I pick up my quest the face plate detaches super easily ever time and the fan pops off too easily as well. I do not consider these to be a fatal flaw though as once the headset is on your face, neither piece moves even a little so I haven’t had to worry about anything falling off while I use it.
No sweat, no fog
Solved the problem of the damp OEM face foam and lens fogging. Easy to wipe clean, holds Oculus firmly and comfortably in place and the fan keeps the fog away.
Works as intended
It keeps your face from sweating while playing. Definitely noticeable feature. Also, it blows the air outward to vent. So don’t worry about your eyes drying out.
